Designed by the famous Mary Craig in 1927 to recreate the villas she admired in the south of France and Spain you will feel completed transported back in time and place the moment you pass through the wrought iron gates into the enormous arrival court.  

The oversize double Oak doors lead you into a sun filled glass lined foyer/gallery that overlooks a large stone terrace and the gorgeous garden with its vast lawn and towering 100 year old Oak trees.

Walking down the foyer to your left is the enchanting oak walled Library. The smell of leather bound books and a custom-made leather sofa are further enhanced by beautiful oil paintings and memorabilia of the owner's world travels.

There is also a beautiful hand carved stone fireplace.

The Library is the perfect place to read, watch T.V. or just reflect.

Further to your left and through the double doors you will enter the enormous warm and inviting living room with its Baby Grand piano, its two large beautiful down filled custom made sofas and chairs, gorgeous paintings and hand carved marble fireplace.

To add to its allure there are four sets of French doors that open onto large stone terraces, one overlooks the rose garden and the other has a view of the huge lawn and Oak trees.

Now to the right of the entry foyer is the elegant sun filled formal dining room. It has 2 sets of French doors that open onto a small stone terrace and the vast lawn and a mountain view through the window.

From the dining room you pass through the Butler's Pantry into the golden glow of the gorgeous honey-colored Gourmet kitchen with its state of the art stainless appliances.  There is a huge glass window over the sink that overlooks a fountain where birds come to bathe and beyond that is the huge lawn. The view makes cooking and doing dishes a sheer delight!

There is also a breakfast terrace just beyond the kitchen and a large breakfast nook that comfortably seats eight, The kitchen is the perfect place to breakfast or lunch or just hang out.

The curved stairway in the foyer leads to the bedrooms.

The beautiful and romantic master bedroom is in its own private wing to the right. The warmth of its cream colored walls makes it very inviting. Just imagine watching a 39 inch T.V. with a fire blazing in the gas-lit fireplace or just star gazing as you look through the large skylight hidden between the beams. There is also a chaise and a down filled chair and ottoman and 2 balconies with views of the mountains and the vast lawn and garden.

The master bathroom has a double sized soaking tub and sits beneath a large skylight, a wonderful way to bathe and also get a sun tan!

The wing on the left of the stairway hall has the three other bedrooms and 2 baths each is beautifully decorated with lovely oil paintings, and beautiful views, All have down pillows and percale sheets. There is another T.V. in the other Queen-size bedroom.

The gardens are exquisite.

The formal Rose Garden beyond the living room terrace is exquisite, As you walk down the aisle between the rows of roses the air is filled with a romantic aroma. At its end is a charming Gazebo.

There is also a fruit orchard with over 30 fruit trees. Pick your oranges or grapefruits for breakfast juice or make Lemonade from the Lemon trees, or pick Avocados for your salad. and as a wonderful surprise pick the fruit that is in season...

The vast lawn beyond the Rose Garden is perfect for a game of Bacc or Croquet, or having a game of Catch. There is also a wonderful wooded area, beyond the lawn that is magical. It doesn't matter where you look or walk it’s all romantic!

There are 2 Gardeners and an indoor maintenance man that tends the indoor plants.  and if you stay for 2 weeks you have a Housekeeper for one day.
